Foggy Notion is a jewel of the Richmond district. Tucked in a quintessential San Francisco office building that probably also houses the offices for the golden fang a visit is like stepping into another world. Stellar music, cozy space and one of the best apothecaries/ selections of environmentally friendly local products you’ll find in the bay area (including Bathing Culture mind and body wash) have made this boutique of fixture of both the neighborhood and fancy travel guides.
Look at these lovely shelves :D
Whenever I swing by there are trendy folks abound, but not in a “we’re better than you” way, more like, “do you have some matches? I’m going to burn some sage at the Andy Goldsworthy spire.” which is exactly what someone asked last time I was hanging out at Foggy Notion.

Alissa, the founder and owner is one of the coolest people we’ve ever met, whenever we see her at a concert we know it’s going to be pretty good and that she knows everyone playing and maybe one day if we’re nice she’ll hook them all up with Bathing Culture Mind and Body wash :D
Hey Alissa, keep up the good work 👋
Don’t take our word for it here’s what folks are saying on yelp ->
Jessica T ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Foggy Notion may be one of my favorite stores in the city. Seriously. Alissa the wonderful mastermind behind this fantastic store has curated this intimate space to perfection.”
Jessica J. (different Jessica?) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“I'M IN LOVE! Like big love, like a child loves it's stuffy, like a foot loves a cozy sock, like my hippy, indie, local goods loving self loves SF goods!"
Vira P ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“A cute neighborhood gem selling local items, including honey made from bees in Golden Gate Park! The staff are just super duper nice. Definitely check out their website for special events! I went to the Valentine's event and they were serving treats!”
Okay, so go down there, hear some good tunes, buy a jar of golden gate honey, really dope mug, and a case or two of Bathing Culture Soap. Once you’re set with that, you can swing by Green Apple books which is right around the corner.
