  • Content Marketing Coordinator

    We're looking for a passionate and savvy marketer to grow and strengthen the Bathing Culture community and brand.

    This is an exciting opportunity where you will have your hands in a range of marketing projects that help tell the story of Bathing Culture, cultivate the community and expand our environmental and cultural impact.  This includes everything from content creation to follower growth, fielding and managing partnerships, email marketing, community engagement, agency and ads management, launches, and website best practices. 

    This role has some serious breath, and requires discipline and the ability to context switch and keep several projects going at once with a highly creative and collaborative, often nonlinear team. You’ll need to go deep in a few areas, and contribute to the overall brand strategy, but you’ll also be humble enough to help customers and community members in need.  Your experience, domain expertise, focus, follow through and honesty are all critical as we are a small team and we will be counting on you.

    We care more about the work you get done and it’s impact, then how much time you spend working on it.  

    This is a part time contract position with the possibility for conversion to full time employment.  We’re based in San Francisco, but are open to remote workers. 

    Core Responsibilities

    -> Manage all concepting, briefing, setup and execution for our email programs

    -> Plan / write / coordinate web and blog content that helps explain and deepen the brand

    -> Provide input and assist with implementation of website optimizations

    -> Help develop content needs and coordinate photography/ video  for web and social media

    ->  Act as the primary point of contact for our marketing agencies 

    -> Review and coordinate select partnerships

     -> Coordinate Google paid advertising  

    -> Maintain and build facebook presence Leverage PR stories across social and web 

    ->  Deal with influencers / ambassadors Report out on channel performance by sharing meaningful and actionable data on a weekly and monthly basis.

    -> Manage  budgets, stresses, and deadlines related to projects 

    -> Review and expand onto new social media communities, bonus if you have experience with youtube, pinterest or tick tock 

    -> Work closely with passionate team  


    -> A minimum of 3-5+ years relevant experience.

    -> Examples of how you’ve implemented marketing programs that have driven growth

    -> Understanding of content strategy as it pertains to organic social growth and brand representation in the social media space.

    -> Copywriting chops

    -> Strong references 

    -> You’ve used a email CRM 

    -> You’ve held people (agencies, teammates, etc)  accountable

    -> Track record of taking ownership and driving results

    -> Concern for improving environmental, community  and personal health 

    -> Appreciation for bathing
    -> Previous experience in Beauty or Skincare (or premium branded consumer goods) a plus.

  • Contract Designer

    We’re looking for a Graphic Designer to help us tell the Bathing Culture story across print, social media, our website, advertising, events and a primary focus on email. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in executing for all these media and is also excited to engage in marketing and content creation.

    Primary responsibilities will include the design and production of:

    Emails, using existing templates and creating new layouts and imagery

    Social media content, including Instagram stories and light photo editing and re-touching

    Web content, including our blog, updating imagery or other elements of our website

    Advertisements for Facebook / Instagram inclusive of

    Gifs and Cinemagraphs. 

    Additional responsibilities include:

    Work with senior designer and other team members, adhering to established brand guidelines, being open to feedback and critiques 

    Adhoc design and overall brand vibe

    Providing design support on a variety of other creative projects that graphically celebrate and share Bathing Culture

    About you

    You’re driven to succeed and want to make a material difference in the environmental crisis. You’re an adept left brain/right brain thinker who can stay organized, collaborate, work independently, and who loves to share the things you make with the world. You’re excited to work in an informal professional environment where each year is bigger and better than the last. 


    Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator. Minimum 1-3 years working in an Advertising agency, Design Studio or Fashion retail environment with demonstrated success.

    Design/Marketing roleSocial media savvy: experience with digital, social media and mobile a plus. Will be expected to know how to create slideshows, animated gifs, and video files. 

    Ready, able, and willing to work on projects independently

    Motion graphics and video experience (After Effects, Premiere, Cinema4D, etc.) a plus

  • Email Marketing Contractor

    We are looking for an energetic marketer with a focus on Customer Relationship Management and Email Marketing. You will define strategy and manage campaigns associated with driving high customer LTV. You will brief and execute outstanding campaigns that engage and retain our base. You will also be tasked with retention tactics, customer loyalty, and driving traffic and sales through email and other means of direct communication with our customers.

    Core Email Marketing Responsibilities

    Create and execute a strategy that drives traffic and revenue via our email channel including marketing emails and automated emails.

    Manage all concepting, briefing, setup and execution for our email programs.Act as the primary point of contact for our email service provider and work to leverage the most benefit from the tool possible.Define and optimize audiences, subject lines, email copy, and landing pages to drive strong open rates, click through and conversion for emails based on data and insights.

    Report on email performance by sharing meaningful and actionable data on a weekly and monthly basis

    Deliver against channel targets including but not limited to email list growth (subscribes / unsubscribes / lapsed), engagement (opens / CTR / conversion) and revenue (channel / per subscriber)


    Core CRM Responsibilities

    Spearhead all CRM efforts Continually test, collect and analyze data, and identify trends and insights in order to maximize subscription, customer LTV, retention, repeat purchase.

    Deliver against CRM targets including but not limited to retention, LTV, repeat purchase and referral.Identify opportunities and work collaboratively with peers and leadership to understand and optimize against LTV targets and repeat purchase goals for long-term sustainable business growth.Analyze and report out on CRM KPIs.

    Understand the Bathing Culture brand DNA to help inform your approach to retention and customer loyalty.

    Approach everything with a customer-first mentality.


    Proven success managing an email marketing program, CRM program or other data-driven marketing program.

    Hands on experience driving email subscription, retention and / or repeat purchase.

    Klaviyo experience or similar ESP required.

    Familiarity with marketing automation a plus.

    Working knowledge of LTV optimization and the role it plays in CRM.

    Experience with a loyalty or rewards program preferable.Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and the Shopify E-Commerce Platform a plus.3-5 years of relevant work experience required.
