Our plumbing and sanitation infrastructure is not a closed loop. With the millions of personal care products used each day, their ingredients will inevitably accumulate in our ecosystems or end up back in our drinking water.
Which is why we take biodegradability into account with all of our products. Each ingredient or material we use is verified to be safe for aquatic ecosystems and able to naturally decompose.
Our products are also safe for outdoor use, like outdoor showers and camping—but we don't recommend using any products directly in natural waterways like rivers, lakes, and oceans. Products made of wood, cotton, stone, sponge or luffa are also biodegradable, but be sure to find the correct disposal approach within your community.
All of our shipping is carbon offset.
We recommend our ground shipping option to reduce the carbon impact of your purchase (air shipping uses +3x the emissions as ground).
We accept unopened products as returns within 30 days of ordering. For more on our return policy check out the link below.

Q: What is a natural perfume?
Most fragrances you’ll encounter are made from synthetic materials because they’re much cheaper, much stronger, and more controllable than what you’ll find in nature. While some synthetic fragrance molecules are totally safe, many are made from petroleum and have been shown to be carcinogenic and harmful to aquatic ecosystems.
Our approach to natural perfumery uses only essential oils, absolutes, hydrosols, resins, or extracts from real, responsibly sourced plant material. Natural perfumes are more subtle and dynamic, building and changing over time based on how the different oils evaporate. Many of the essential oils we use have additional skin and aromatherapy benefits, like Amyris which can calm the skin and the mind.
Q: How long does this scent last?
Natural perfumes like this provide a nuanced experience. You’ll notice an evolution of the scent over the course of around 3 hours, traveling from scents of the canopy down to the earth forest floor. We chose the packaging for its portability for easy reapplication whether it’s mid-day or during a night out.
